Overview & Highlights

Step into a culinary haven at Angelina Paris Musee du Louvre, located within the magnificent walls of the Louvre Museum on Cafe Aile Richelieu. This French restaurant effortlessly blends the art of fine dining with the cultural richness of one of the world's most famous museums. As you take a seat, you can choose to bask in the sunshine outdoors while taking in the beautifully manicured museum grounds or enjoy an intimate spot inside, surrounded by the grandeur of art and history.

The menu at Angelina Paris is a delightful homage to classic French cuisine. For breakfast, indulge in the Petit-Déjeuner Parisien, featuring a heavenly selection of freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolat, combined with a warm cup of coffee or rich hot chocolate—crafted to perfection and perfect for any early riser. For those seeking more substantial fare, the Soupe à l’oignon traditionnelle offers a fragrant burst of caramelized onions and gooey cheese, while the Quiche Lorraine transports your taste buds home with its creamy texture and savory ingredients, said to rival the recipes of even the best Parisian mothers.

But the real showstopper at Angelina is undoubtedly the Richelieu dessert. Picture a sumptuous, pyramid-shaped chocolate mousse nestled atop a delightful crunchy base, reminiscent of a Ferrero Rocher yet freshly crafted just for you. This dessert is not just enough to satisfy—it's an experience meant to be shared, as its rich layer upon layer invites each bite to be savored together.

Customer reviews rave about the restaurant’s idyllic setting and delectable offerings. One satisfied guest, Murat Turan, mentions waiting for a chocolate dessert presentation that, despite the wait, proved to be worth every moment. Another patron, Easy Street, enthusiastically dubbed the Caesar salad as a standout, affirming its irresistible nature alongside a quiche that holds a special place in his heart.

Choosing Angelina Paris means choosing a moment of luxurious indulgence nestled within an artistic backdrop. Don't just dine—immerse yourself in the Parisian café culture, where every bite transports you further into the charm of the French culinary scene. Make your visit unforgettable and consider this exquisite gem your oasis of deliciousness amidst the Louvre's bustling exploration.

Visitor Testimonials (1819)

The desserts were quite good. The photos show a hot chocolate presentation for two. There can be a 15-20 minute wait. I think it's a great place to stop for a dessert break inside the Louvre.

Waiting period was worth the wait… a Caesar salad unlike any other, Lorraine Quiche, as good as my mother’s. To close the experience the Richelieu dessert… a pyramid shape, multilayer chocolate mousse with hazelnut and a crunchy base, basically a Ferraro Rocher but fresh… dessert is enough for two to share.

We decided to skip the usual museum spots of the Louvre Starbucks and the grab and go kiosks. You have to wait to be seated but can sit inside or out, we chose outside. We got there just before 11:30 for some coffee and pastries. We ordered coffee with steamed milk, a croissant and pain au chocolat. It was a beautiful experience sitting on the Louvre balcony, views of the museum grounds and in the distant the Eiffel Tower. The pastries tasted lovely and the coffee so good. Whilst we didn’t try other items, we saw some being served and they look fantastic, especially the quiches. The waiter was very polite and helpful and I think appreciated the little but basic French we spoke to him. A beautiful start to the Louvre experience.
